Vivo Y18t, Vivo Y18i allegedly spotted on IMEI website; A launch may be inevitable

Vivo Y18 and Vivo Y18e with MediaTek Helio G85 processors and 5000mAh batteries were launched in India earlier this year. Now, the Chinese smartphone brand seems to be preparing to introduce new models of the Y18 series. Vivo has yet to reveal any details about these models, but before that they allegedly appeared in the IMEI database, confirming their existence. The Vivo Y18t and Vivo Y18i, like their siblings, are expected to debut as budget offerings.

GizmoChina spotted the Vivo Y18t and Vivo Y18i in the IMEI database. According to the listing, the former has a model number of V2408, while the latter is associated with a model number of V2414. Aside from the model numbers, the listing doesn’t reveal any details about the phones.

Vivo Y18t and Vivo Y18i are expected to be affordable smartphones. They are likely to bring improvements over the Vivo Y18 and Vivo Y18e.

Vivo Y18, Vivo Y18e price in India, specifications

The Vivo Y18 and Vivo Y18e were launched in India in May at a starting price of Rs. 8,999 and Rs.7,999 respectively. They are available in Gem Green and Space Black.

In terms of specifications, the Vivo Y18 and Vivo Y18e run on Android 14 Funtouch OS 14 and feature a 6.56-inch HD+ (1612 x 720 pixels) LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and 269 ppi pixel density. Both models are equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor combined with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128 GB of built-in eMMC 5.1 memory.

Smartphones are equipped with a dual rear camera. The Vivo Y18 gets a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor along with a 0.08-megapixel sensor. It is equipped with an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. Meanwhile, the Vivo Y18e has a 13-megapixel primary rear sensor and a 0.08-megapixel secondary unit. It flaunts a 5-megapixel selfie camera. They are equipped with 5000 mAh batteries with support for 15 W wired fast charging.
