The Xiaomi Mix Flip is said to be in development as the first flip phone from the Chinese tech brand. Xiaomi has yet to confirm its existence, but it looks like the brand is preparing to launch the phone in global markets outside of China. The alleged listing of the phone in the IMEI database lends more credence to these rumours. It was spotted on the certification platform under the model number 2405CPX3DG.

Erenkan Yilmaz (@erenylmaz075) spotted Xiaomi Mix Flip in IMEI database with model number 2405CPX3DG. The ‘G’ in the model number is said to stand for ‘global’ and this indicates the availability of the phone in international markets. Meanwhile, the Chinese variant of the Mix Flip has been certified under the model number 2405CPX3DC.
If rumors of a global Xiaomi Mix Flip launch prove to be true, it will give new competition to the likes of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Oppo Find N3 Flip, Motorola’s Razr 40 line, and other phones with vertical displays. It is expected to go official in global markets except India and Japan. All previous entries in the line of sophisticated Xiaomi devices remained exclusive to China.
Xiaomi Mix Flip specifications, price (expected)
The Xiaomi Mix Flip is expected to be officially launched in the third quarter of this year alongside the Xiaomi Fold 4. It is expected to feature a 1.5K display and a 4,900mAh battery. It may be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and have a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP OV50E primary sensor and a 60MP OV60A secondary sensor with 2x optical zoom. It is likely to have a 32-megapixel selfie sensor. The phone is said to support 67W fast charging.
According to earlier leaks, the Xiaomi Mix Flip will be priced at RMB 5,999 (roughly Rs. 69,000).
