The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will soon be launched in India, the Chinese tech group announced on Monday (May 20). A dedicated microsite on Flipkart teases the design of the upcoming foldable smartphone ahead of its debut. It was originally launched in China with a round rear camera body, a carbon fiber hinge and a V3 chip. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and has a 6.53-inch display with a lid, with an 8.03-inch internal foldable panel. The previous generation Vivo foldable phones were limited to the Chinese market.
Through a post on X, Vivo has confirmed the launch of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in India. It has been confirmed that it will go on sale via Flipkart and the e-commerce website has created a special landing page for the launch. The teaser has the tagline “The Best Fold Ever” and shows the loop design. However, the brand has not revealed the exact launch date.
Earlier leaks claimed that the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will arrive in India in early July. It was launched in China in March with a price tag of CNY 9,999 (roughly Rs. 116,000) for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant.
In the past few years, Vivo has released sophisticated smartphones, but all of them have been limited to the Chinese market. This practice will change with the launch of Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in India. It can compete with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, OnePlus Open and Tecno Phantom V Fold in India.
The Chinese version of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro runs on Android 14 with OriginOS 4 on top. It has an 8.03-inch 2K (2200×2480 pixels) main AMOLED display with E7 AMOLED resolution and a 6.53-inch (1172×2748 pixels) AMOLED display with a cover. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS4.0 storage. It features the Vivo V3 image processor and a carbon fiber hinge.
Vivo has equipped the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro with a triple rear camera led by a 50-megapixel primary camera. Both the external and internal screens contain 32-megapixel selfie cameras. It has an IPX8 dust and water resistance rating and is powered by a 5,700mAh lithium battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
