Sony has revealed the lineup of games that will join the PlayStation Plus games catalog in May. Red Dead Redemption 2, the acclaimed action-adventure from Rockstar Games, leads this month’s PS Plus offerings. Other games coming to the game catalog include the co-op shooter Crime Boss: Rockay City, the multiplayer first-person shooter Deceive Inc., the survival simulator Stranded: Alien Dawn, and more. The games will be available to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium members as part of the games catalog from May 21.
The latest additions to the game catalog were revealed on the PlayStation Blog on Wednesday, following the PS Plus monthly free games for May announced earlier in the month. The four free games available to all PS Plus subscribers include EA Sports FC 24, Ghostrunner 2, Tunic and Destiny 2: Lightfall.
Red Dead Redemption 2 returns to the games catalog as a PS Plus re-release. The open-world game from Rockstar Games, which was previously available on the service, left the PS Plus games catalog in September 2022. A prequel story to 2010’s Red Dead Redemption, the epic western follows the journey of the infamous Dutch Van Der Linde gang through the eyes of outlaw Arthur Morgan.
The action of the game takes place in the years after 1899. The game explores the decline of the Wild West as the US authorities crack down on outlaws. As part of a gang on the run, players can explore densely populated cities, sprawling deserts, snow-capped mountains, and dense forests while completing missions, bank robberies, train robberies, and more. Read Dead Redemption 2 also features an endless list of side jobs, from providing services to strangers to hunting and fishing. The game will be available on PS4 and will be playable on PS5 with backwards compatibility.

Crime Boss: Rockay City is a cooperative first-person shooter with popular Hollywood actors such as Michael Madsen, Chuck Norris, Danny Trejo, Danny Glover, Michael Rooker, Kim Basinger, Vanilla Ice and others. Actors lend their likenesses and voices to their characters in the game. Rockay City allows players to form a criminal gang and complete missions and heists. Released in 2023, Rockay City can be played with other players as part of your gang in online co-op or with a team of AI controllers. The action of the game takes place in Florida, and it tries to recall the crime films of the 1990s. It will only be playable on PS5.
Another first-person shooter coming to the PS Plus game catalog is Deceive Inc. Developed by Sweet Bandits Studios, the multiplayer title sees two teams of spies compete to retrieve a package. Players can hide their identity using a holographic projector that allows them to transform into other characters and objects. As the name suggests, deception is key here as players use social stealth mechanisms and advanced gadgets to get to the package before the other team. Deceive Inc. will be available on PS5.

Also added to the PS Plus games catalog is Stranded: Alien Dawn, a survival simulator from Haemimont Games in which players are tasked with leading a group of survivors on an alien planet. As a leader, players can assign roles to each group member, manage resources, and make important decisions that can ultimately decide the group’s fate. Gathering resources and building a strong settlement becomes crucial as the group faces alien threats on a hostile planet. The game will be available on both PS4 and PS5.
