The official presentation of OnePlus 13 in the company’s homeland will take place on October 31. In the latest series of teasers, OnePlus revealed the water resistance rating and other key specifications of the flagship. The OnePlus 13 is confirmed to have a higher IP rating than the OnePlus 12. It will also feature a new and improved fingerprint sensor for authentication. In addition, the battery capacity of the OnePlus 13 has allegedly already been tested.
The OnePlus 13 will offer an IP68/IP69 rating
OnePlus announced via Weibo that the OnePlus 13 will have IP68 and IP69 ratings, a marked improvement over the OnePlus 12, which only has an IP65 rating. The IP68 rating indicates that the phone can withstand immersion in fresh water to a depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. The IP69 rating means it can withstand high-pressure water jets.
IP68 and IP69 ratings give the OnePlus 13 an edge over some of the best phones on the market. The premium iPhone 16, Samsung Galaxy S24 series and Google Pixel 9 series are IP68 rated.
The OnePlus 13 will also have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for security. It will have the new Bionic Vibration Motor Turbo with an extra large 602mm square motor.
In addition, the results of a battery test conducted by a Weibo user show that the OnePlus 13 with a 6000mAh battery took first place in the three-hour battery lightness test. The upcoming handset took second place in a six-hour battery test. Red Magic 9S Pro and Nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Edition were in the second and third positions, respectively.
OnePlus has already revealed many details about the OnePlus 13. These include support for wired and 50W wireless charging, ColorOS 15 based on Android 15, and a BOE Oriental X2 8T LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Also confirmed is the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC and a Hasselblad-branded rear camera setup, including three 50-megapixel sensors.
