The OnePlus 13 is slated to launch this month; The Great Leap Forward in Performance Management Tips

The OnePlus 13 has been rumored to launch in October, and a company executive appeared to confirm on Wednesday that the phone will indeed arrive later this month. This will be the Chinese launch of the smartphone, with a global debut expected sometime later this year. In addition to confirming the launch dates, the executive said that the OnePlus 13 will get a “big jump” in performance. The phone is rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.

OnePlus 13 launch schedule confirmed

In a post on Weibo, OnePlus China President Louis Li revealed that the OnePlus 13 smartphone will be launched this month. Thus, the smartphone will be the first to run ColorOS 15. This is not surprising considering that OnePlus phones ship with Oppo’s Android-based skin instead of the slightly modified Oxygen OS that was added outside of China.

Lee also emphasized that the upcoming flagship smartphone will also have significant performance improvements. He said: “With the latest Snapdragon flagship chip, the OnePlus13 has taken a ‘giant leap’ in both performance output and overall smoothness, reaching a level never before seen in Android.”

This improvement is likely to come on the back of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which is also expected this month. The new chipset is expected to feature a new generation of the company’s dedicated neural processor (NPU), which can offer higher performance for both artificial intelligence (AI)-related workflows and others.

While India is unlikely to see ColorOS 15 on the OnePlus 13, Lee emphasized that the operating system will feature the new Tidal Engine and Aurora Engine, which are said to offer better performance and smoother animations.

Rumored OnePlus 13 specs

Based on previous reports, the OnePlus 13 is expected to feature a 6.82-inch 2K 10-bit LTPO BOE X2 OLED display with micro-quadratic curved corners and a 120Hz refresh rate. The second generation of the BOE East screen is said to be superior to the existing BOE X1 display seen on the OnePlus 12.

Another report claimed that the smartphone could have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor built into the display circuitry. It can also support super eye protection and four-level depth of soft edges. It is also said to have a Super Ceramic Glass back panel.
