The Honor X60 series will be launched in China on October 16. On the eve of the presentation, the company talked about the design of future smartphones. The lineup will include at least two variants, and both are confirmed to support satellite connectivity. More details about the phones are likely to be revealed in the days leading up to the launch. Recently, details about the basic Honor X60 have leaked online. The rumored phone is expected to be the successor to the Honor X50, which was launched in China in July 2023.
Honor X60 series design, features
The design of the Honor X60 series was revealed by the company in an official post on Weibo. The phones are seen with round rear camera units. One of the phones has the same camera design as the previous Honor X50. Two phones are seen with a circular module bordered by an outer ring.
A possible dual front-facing camera can be seen on the front of one of the phones. Notably, a previous hands-on leak of the base front panel of the Honor X60 showed a single punch-hole slot at the top of the display. It is likely that the Pro version of the Honor X60 may have a dual front camera. The smartphone also has a curved display.
In another post on Weibo, Honor announced that the X60 series will support satellite connectivity. The phones in the teasers are presented in white, green and orange colors. They are confirmed to run on MagicOS 8.0 and have a 108MP primary camera. The model range will be presented in China on October 16 at 19:30 local time.
Technical characteristics of Honor X60 (according to rumors)
The vanilla Honor X60 is expected to sport a 6.8-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 SoC. The phone is expected to have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. It can support an additional 12 GB of virtual RAM expansion.
Apart from the confirmed 108-megapixel primary rear camera sensor, the Honor X60 will also get an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. It may have a 5,800mAh battery with support for 35W wired fast charging. The phone is expected to be 8mm thick and weigh 189g.
