HMD Sage could be the next smartphone from the Finnish OEM. Key details of the alleged phone have surfaced online. This includes a leaked design render that suggests the smartphone is likely to be a slightly modified version of the HMD Skyline that was launched in India in September. The design of the HMD Sage is also similar to the HMD Crest series that was launched in the country in July this year. Several key features of the rumored model were also announced.

HMD Sage design, color options (pending)

HMD Sage’s design was leaked by X account HMD_MEME’S (@smashx_60). The phone is presented in three colors – blue, green and red. The rear panel, including the layout of the rear camera unit, suggests that the phone will have a similar or slightly different design to the HMD Skyline or HMD Crest phones.

The rectangular camera unit is visible in the upper left corner of the back panel of the HMD Sage. The camera island looks black, unlike the rest of the panel. The corners of the phone are likely to be slightly square, similar to the Skyline model.

HMD Sage Features (Expected)

Another X post by the same user listed a few key features of the HMD Sage. The rumored phone is expected to sport a 6.55-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. According to the leak, the phone could be powered by the Unisoc T760 5G chipset.

In terms of optics, the HMD Sage is expected to get a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor as well as a 50-megapixel selfie shooter. Connectivity options for the phone include a USB Type-C 2.0 port, a 3.5mm jack and NFC support. The phone is likely to support 33W wired fast charging.

According to the leak, the HMD Sage is likely to feature an IP52-rated design for protection against dust and splashes. The phone will have a glass front panel and a matte finish.
