TCS announces new deal with Xerox to build AI-powered generative business platform

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a multinational provider of IT services, announced on Friday the signing of a new contract with the American Xerox. This agreement expands the strategic partnership between the two companies and will enable TCS to build a cloud-based generative artificial intelligence (AI)-based digital platform for Xerox. The Mumbai-based IT giant will also create a cloud-first operating model to help the company transform its business processes to drive sustainable growth. The new platform will have generative AI capabilities that it can integrate into its work processes.

In a press release, TCS said it has entered into an agreement with Xerox that will enable it to deliver a “comprehensive transformation” program to accelerate the company’s transition to a “simplified, software-driven system of organizations.” Notably, Xerox is currently transitioning to a digital-first operating model to manage its business operations more efficiently.

Explaining some of the work that TCS will do, the company noted that it will develop a new, cloud-first, agile operating model. It will leverage its existing business solutions such as TCS CrytallusTM and Cognitive Business Operations and develop the deep capabilities of AI.Cloud in the platform.

Furthermore, they will also partner with various hyperscalers and AI solution providers to bring the expertise of industry partners to develop the right platform for the US-based company. Xerox and TCS have been working together for more than two decades, according to the company. The US market is also the biggest market for the IT giant as it has almost 50,000 associates and 19 delivery centers in the country.
