Sony Xperia 1 VI, Xperia 10 VI with Snapdragon SoC, 5000 mAh batteries released: price, specifications

Sony Xperia 1 VI and Sony Xperia 10 VI were presented in Europe. The new Xperia phones are available in three colors and feature Snapdragon chipsets. The flagship Sony Xperia 1 VI is equipped with a 6.5-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a cooling system with a steam chamber. The phone boasts both IP65 and IP68 dust and water resistance. The Sony Xperia 10 VI, on the other hand, is a budget offering with a smaller 6.1-inch screen. Both phones come with a 48MP primary rear camera and a 5,000mAh battery with 30W charging support.

Sony Xperia 1 VI, Sony Xperia 10 VI price

The Sony Xperia 1 VI starts at €1,299 (roughly Rs. 1,17,400) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model and is available in Black, Platinum Silver and Khaki Green colors. The Sony Xperia 10 VI starts at €349 (roughly Rs. 31,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB model. Offered in black, blue and white shades. Both models are currently available for pre-order in Europe.

The Sony Xperia 1 VI will go on sale from June 6, and the Sony Xperia 10 VI from June 10.

Characteristics of Sony Xperia 1 VI, Xperia 10 VI

In terms of specifications, the Sony Xperia 1 VI and Sony Xperia 10 VI run on Android 14, and Sony promises three major OS updates and four years of security updates for the new phones. The former has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) OLED display with a variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 coating. The display has Bravia settings for better image quality . On the other hand, the Sony Xperia 10 VI has a 6.1-inch Full HD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

The Sony Xperia 1 VI is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC along with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It includes a vapor chamber cooler to optimize performance. The Sony Xperia 10 VI has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Optically, both phones have identical primary cameras. The Sony Xperia 1 VI has a triple primary camera that includes a 48-megapixel Sony Exmor T main sensor with a focal length of 48mm, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 12-megapixel zoom camera. The rear camera supports 4K HDR video recording at 120 fps. The phone is equipped with a 12-megapixel front camera for selfies. The Sony Xperia 10 VI has a dual rear camera that consists of a 48-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Sony Xperia 1 VI features a new premium sound design for 3.5mm wired headphones, and both new Xperia models feature stereo speakers.

Sony has equipped the Sony Xperia 1 VI and Sony Xperia 10 VI with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. The first has IP65 and IP68 dust and water protection class. Sony Xperia 10 VI has IPX5 and IPX8 protection class.
