Samsung has launched more than 50 special accessories for Galaxy smartphones to commemorate the 2024 Summer Olympics, the company announced on Wednesday. The mega event will begin on July 26 with the opening ceremony and will be held in Paris, France. In anticipation, the South Korean smartphone maker has announced special Paris Olympics-themed accessories, including cases, power banks, pouches and more featuring the event’s logo and colors, on a range of Galaxy smartphones.
Samsung launches special accessories
In a press release, Samsung Electronics France announced that the move commemorates the existing global partnership between Samsung and the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It has therefore introduced a series of accessories in the colors of the event.
Special accessories include one of two design elements: the Paris 2024 logo or stylized Art Deco. According to the company, more than 50 cases are available for a wide range of smartphones. These include affordable offerings like the Samsung Galaxy A15, Galaxy A25, mid-range models like the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 as well as its flagship phones including the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung has also introduced themed cases for its foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Flip 5. The cases start at EUR 19.90 (roughly Rs. 1,700).
Apart from the case, Samsung has also released other accessories, such as a strap woven in the colors of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Users can use this strap to carry their smartphones around their necks. There is another, wider version of this strap that bears the text “Paris 2024”, priced at EUR 19.90 (roughly Rs. 1,700).
According to the company, it has also launched a 10,000 mAh power bank emblazoned with Phryge – the official mascot of the Paris Olympics and Paralympics 2024. It is priced at EUR 49.90 (roughly Rs. 4,400). Samsung also offers a waterproof case to protect the smartphone from water damage, adding a layer of protection, which costs EUR 19.90 (roughly Rs. 1,700).
Samsung says that some of these accessories are already available for purchase from the official Samsung France online store.
