Meanwhile, a report has suggested a timeline for the launch of the Galaxy A16 5G in India. It is recommended to get a different chipset than the global variant.

Samsung’s Galaxy A16 is priced at €249 (roughly Rs. 23,000) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It comes with an octa-core chipset which is said to be the Exynos 1330 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It runs Android 14 One UI 6.1 out of the box and promises to offer six years of OS updates along with six years of security updates.
In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G will offer a triple primary camera, including a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor, a 5-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The phone has a 13-megapixel selfie shooter.
The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G appears to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W wired fast charging. The phone has protection against dust and splashes according to the IP54 standard. Connectivity options include dual 5G, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi and USB Type-C.
Samsung Galaxy A16 5G India Launch Schedule (Pending)
According to a report by The Tech Outlook, the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is slated to launch in India in mid-October. The report adds that the Indian variant may come with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. While earlier leaks have revealed details about the Galaxy A16 4G, there is still no word on its launch in India.
