Samsung confirms Galaxy S25 series launch schedule; The first XR headset will be unveiled soon

During its latest earnings announcement, Samsung offered a brief look at its product development plan for the coming year. The South Korean smartphone giant has confirmed that the much-anticipated Galaxy S25 series will be launched in the first half of 2025. It will also unveil its much-awaited XR device soon. In addition, it seems that Samsung is looking for ways to bring affordable foldable smartphones to the market.

Samsung Galaxy S25 will appear in the first half of 2025

In its latest earnings call, Samsung unveiled plans for 2025. The company confirmed that its MX (Mobile experience) division plans to grow sales and improve profitability by focusing on flagships such as the Galaxy S25 series and sophisticated devices, as well as expanding sales of ecosystem products. such as Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Book and portable devices. Samsung says the Galaxy S25 series will launch “in the first half of next year” with Galaxy AI features.

Samsung usually releases its low-end flagships in January or February, so the Galaxy S25 models are expected to hit the shelves around the same time next year. The current Galaxy S24 lineup was introduced in January 2024.

In addition, Samsung said that its XR (eXtended Reality) device is “scheduled for a future launch”. As such, the MX division aims to contribute to the expansion of the Samsung Health ecosystem through the Galaxy Ring launched this year and to enhance the connectivity experience between our products. The XR device is expected to debut next year.

Additionally, user X Jukanlosreve (@Jukanlosreve), citing Samsung’s conference call, posted a report that the company is looking to launch a budget foldable smartphone. The post said: “We are looking at ways to lower barriers to entry so that more customers can truly experience sophisticated products, given the high satisfaction of existing sophisticated users,” hinting at developing cheaper sophisticated offerings.
