The Redmi A4 5G was unveiled at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024 in October. The company has revealed the design of the smartphone and confirmed that it will be powered by Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset. The reports have mentioned the phone’s expected price in India along with some of its key features. Xiaomi has now announced the launch date of the smartphone. Availability information, as well as some key specifications of the model, including display, camera and battery details, have also been confirmed.

According to the Xiaomi India X report, the Redmi A4 5G will be launched in India on November 20. The phone is presented in black and white colors. Along with the official website, the Amazon microsite for the phone has been launched. This means that the phone will be available for purchase through Amazon and the Xiaomi India website.
Redmi A4 5G Features, Design, Price
The Redmi A4 5G is confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 SoC. It is said to be the first phone in the world with such a chipset. The official microsite reveals that the phone will have a 6.88-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Xiaomi confirms that the Redmi A4 5G will feature a 50-megapixel dual rear camera. The circular rear camera module is centered at the top of the panel. The phone appears with a two-tone coating, which is marketed as a “sandwich design”.
The Redmi A4 5G has a 5160mAh battery with fast charging support. Previous leaks suggested that the phone will support 18W wired charging. It is expected to ship with Android 14 with HyperOS 1.0 skin on top. The phone is likely to get an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone is expected to have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C port.
Earlier, Xiaomi also confirmed that the Redmi A4 5G will be priced under Rs. 10 thousand in the country. An earlier report said that the 4GB + 128GB variant of the phone is expected to be available at Rs. 8,499 including bank and starter offers among other discounts.
