Realme GT 7 Pro launch confirmed in India

The Realme GT 6T was launched in India last week with a 4nm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor. The launch of the phone marked the return of the GT series to the country after a hiatus. Now, Realme VP Chase Xu has confirmed that the Realme GT 7 Pro will debut in the Indian market. It is expected to have an upgrade over the Realme GT 5 Pro. The latter was launched in China at the end of last year. However, the flagship device has not been launched in India.

Responding to a user’s question on why the company hasn’t launched the Realme GT 5 Pro in India, Chase Xu confirmed that Realme will launch the GT 7 Pro in India this year. However, he did not reveal the exact launch date or any specifications.

Realme GT 5 Pro was launched last December in China. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Based on this, we can assume that the Realme GT 7 Pro will be officially launched by the end of this year with the next generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. In June, the brand is expected to introduce another GT series smartphone — Realme GT 6.

The Realme GT 5 Pro had a starting price of RMB 3,298 (roughly Rs. 40,000) for the base 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. It has a 6.78-inch 1.5K (1264×2780 pixels) AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and a maximum brightness of up to 4500 nits. It has up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. The phone has a triple rear camera led by a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 sensor. On the front panel is a 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 camera for selfies.

The Realme GT 5 Pro is powered by a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging support and 50W wireless charging support.

We can expect to know more about the Realme GT 7 Pro in the coming days.
