Palworld, the hit survival adventure game that broke records for the most players on Steam and Xbox when it was released in January, may finally be coming to PS5. While developer Pocketpair hasn’t confirmed a PlayStation release, the studio’s community manager has vaguely hinted that the game could be coming to Sony’s console soon. Palworld is currently available on both PC and Xbox consoles, and can be accessed through Game Pass.
Global community manager Pocketpair seems to have teased a PlayStation release for Palworld. From their X handle (@Bucky_cm), they posted a message on Sunday that used a blue heart emoji alongside the existing green ones. When it comes to game consoles, green is associated with Xbox and blue is PlayStation.

I want to add more hearts but I don’t know what color would work…hmmm…how about….

The post doesn’t directly mention PlayStation, but hints at the addition of other platforms where the game is available by throwing a blue emoji into the mix.
However, neither Pocketpair nor Sony have provided any updates regarding the PS4 and PS5 release for Palworld. Back in January, Shuhei Yoshida, Head of Indie Games at PlayStation, just said “Yes” in response to a fan’s request for an X version of Palworld for PS5.
Palworld went into Early Access on January 19th and is available on PC (via Steam), Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X, and is included in Xbox Game Pass. The game features Pokémon-style creatures, or pals, that can be captured and tamed to battle, roam, and base-build in the game’s open world.
Since its release, Palworld has become a phenomenon, crossing 25 million players on PC and Xbox. The game has sold over 15 million copies on Steam.
However, the survival title drew accusations of plagiarism, with many players, developers, and commentators calling Palworld’s creatures eerily similar to those found in Pokémon. Following the allegations of plagiarism, Pokémon released a statement in January saying it intended to investigate any alleged copyright infringement of a portion of the newly released game.
