Oppo Find X8 design and AI capabilities leaked ahead of launch: expected specs

The Oppo Find X8 series will launch on October 24 in China. Ahead of its expected debut, the smartphone’s artificial intelligence (AI) features have been described in a leaked video. The video also gives a glimpse at several aspects of the upcoming phone’s design, including a large round camera module on the back. Notably, the Find X8 series has already been confirmed to run on the company’s latest operating system (OS) based on Android 15, and some of the leaked AI features will be related to it.

Oppo Find X8 has been teased

In a leaked video posted on YouTube, the Oppo Find X8 has a flat frame with rounded corners. Its screen can have minimal borders, which maximizes the viewing area. On the back of the alleged phone, a large circular camera module can be seen, which looks similar to its predecessor, the Oppo Find X7.

The Oppo Find X8 has been confirmed to run on MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8400 chipset with an AI engine, and its capabilities have been detailed in a leaked video. The smartphone can intelligently determine the user’s schedule using his calendar and create an individual route based on it.

It will also have generative AI functions. The teaser suggests the inclusion of a generative AI-based sticker generator that will use text prompts to create stickers that the user can share in chats on instant messaging platforms. The AI ​​Engine may also provide some AI functionality to third-party apps, though details remain unknown.

Oppo Find X8 Specifications (Expected)

Previous leaks suggest that the Oppo Find X8 could feature a 6.5-inch BOE display with a 1.5K resolution and thin bezels. It may have a glass back panel. In terms of optics, the alleged phone is expected to have a triple primary camera with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor. The Find X8 has already been confirmed to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset and can work with up to 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 built-in storage.

According to reports, the Find X8 could be powered by a 5,700mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC charging via USB Type-C.
