The OnePlus 13 will soon hit the shelves in China with a major upgrade over the OnePlus 12. To build up the hype around the release, the Chinese smartphone brand has been sharing numerous teasers of the upcoming phone online. The OnePlus 13 is confirmed to feature an all-new X2 panel from BOE. OnePlus and its subsidiary Oppo partnered with BOE for the new screen. The panel allegedly received the DisplayMate A++ certificate. The Oppo Find X8 is expected to have the same display panels.

The OnePlus 13 will use the new BOE display

In a post on Weibo, OnePlus announced that it will launch the new display in partnership with BOE on October 15 at 14:00 (11:30 am IST). The latest second-generation Oriental screen is said to have received DisplayMate A++ certification for mobile phone screens. OnePlus claims it is the first device in the world to receive such a rating. It is also said to have set 21 DisplayMate records. This OLED display makes its debut in the OnePlus 13.

A teaser poster released by OnePlus suggests that the Oppo subsidiary will be part of the announcement. The new display is confirmed to provide improved brightness, efficiency and eye protection.

OnePlus 13 specifications (rumored)

According to past rumors, Oppo’s Find X8, which is slated to launch on October 24, will also feature the new X2 Oriental screen. The OnePlus 13 is expected to feature a quad-curved 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display with a QHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The OnePlus 12 X1 Oriental’s screen offers a peak brightness of 4500 nits, so we can expect the OnePlus 13’s display to surpass that level of brightness.

Additionally, the OnePlus 13 is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. It is said to have up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of built-in storage. It may get a triple rear camera system that includes a 50-megapixel LYT-808 main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 50-megapixel periscopic telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
