Nevermind, the British brand led by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei seems to be gearing up for the much-anticipated release of the Phone 3 next year. While we await official confirmation, an unannounced handset was announced in Nothing Ear Open’s launch video, hinting at its existence and confirming the name. The Nothing Phone 3 is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. The Phone 3 will debut as the successor to the Nothing Phone 2, which was launched in India in July 2022.
The Nothing’s New video hints at the existence of the Phone 3
On its official YouTube channel, Nothing released a new video on Tuesday showing off its latest Ear Open headphones and debuting the Nothing OS 3.0 update. The 15-minute video gives us a sneak peek at the unannounced Nothing Phone 3 at the 6:54 minute mark.
The “Finish phone setup (3)” text at the top of the presumably unannounced phone’s Settings page confirms the name.
Nothing Phone 3 is visible with a cutout in the center of the display. It has thin, symmetrical bezels across the screen. On the left edge you can see the volume buttons, and on the right – the power button. The upcoming phone will have an upgrade over the Phone 2. The latter was launched in July 2022 at a starting price of Rs. 44,999 for the base configuration of 8GB RAM + 128GB storage.
The Nothing Phone 2 came with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC built in, so the Phone 3 is expected to run on a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. It is likely to feature the iconic Nothing transparent back design with the Glyph LED interface.
