The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra was launched globally in April this year alongside the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, which is now available in India. Now the best version of Ultra is planned to be launched in the country soon. The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and a 4,500mAh battery with support for wired and wireless fast charging. Notably, another phone in the Motorola Edge 50 lineup, namely the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, was launched in India in April.

The head of Motorola India shared a teaser of the smartphone on X (formerly Twitter) with the tag “coming soon”. The image only shows the hollowed-out back panel of the upcoming phone. The textured wooden back panel and the placement of the camera unit confirm that this is the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, particularly its Nordic Wood variant. This is confirmed by the text on the image which reads: “Wood” do you believe it?
The upcoming Indian variant of Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is expected to have the same specifications as its global counterpart.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ pOLED screen with a frequency of 144 Hz. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 built-in storage, and comes with Android 14-based Hello UI.
In terms of optics, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), another 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with a 3- multiple optical magnification. The front camera contains a 50-megapixel sensor.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 125W fast wired and 50W wireless charging. Connectivity options include dual 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, NavIC, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4 and a USB Type-C port. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
