Moto G85 5G design renders leaked; Visible with a curved display, thin frames

The Moto G85 5G is expected to launch later this year as the successor to the Moto G84 5G, which was launched in India in September 2023. Motorola’s purported phone has recently been part of several reports and leaks hinting at an imminent launch. Although the exact dates of the launch are still unknown, renders of the smartphone’s design have appeared on the Internet. The Moto G85 5G price was also recently leaked via a random retail listing.

Moto G85 5G leaked renders reveal key design features

A blog post by ToolJunction has leaked renders of the Moto G85 5G design. The phone is presented in a blue version with a dual rear camera module. The engraving on the module suggests that the phone will get a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS).

The rear camera module on the Moto G85 5G appears to have a different design compared to the previous model. The two camera sensors are housed in two separate circular units positioned vertically, accompanied by an elliptical LED flash.

According to the renders, the Moto G85 5G may have a matte textured back panel. It looks like the power and volume buttons are on the right edge of the phone. The USB Type-C charging port is visible on the bottom face.

On the front, the Moto G85 5G sports a curved display with slim bezels. This differs from the flat, slightly thicker bezels of the older Moto G84 5G. The front panel is shown with a punch hole centered at the top of the display for the front-facing camera.

Moto G85 5G Key Specifications and Features (Expected)

The Moto G85 5G codenamed “malmo” was recently spotted on Geekbench with a chipset said to be Qualcomm’s unannounced Snapdragon 4 Gen 3. The listing also states that the phone may come with Android 14-based user interface, Adreno 619 GPU and 8GB of RAM.

Meanwhile, a random report that the Moto G85 5G could be priced at €300 (roughly Rs. 27,100) on a European retail site suggests that the Moto G85 5G could be priced at €300.
