The Honor Magic 7 series is slated to launch in China on October 30 as the successor to the Magic 6 series. Ahead of its upcoming debut, a leaker has offered up specifications of the anticipated smartphone lineup, including details on its memory options, colors, security enhancements, and chipset. Both the Honor Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro are expected to come with up to 1TB of storage and different color options.
Technical characteristics of the Honor Magic 7 series are presented
In a post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, an informant from Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) suggested that the Honor Magic 7 will be offered with 512GB and 1TB of built-in storage. The phone is expected to be available in five colors: black, blue, gold, gray and white.
Meanwhile, the Honor Magic 7 Pro is offered in three storage configurations: 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. It is expected that it will be presented in black, blue, gray and white colors.
The informant suggested that the Honor Magic 7 series will be equipped with updated eye protection. Apart from that, it will also support 3D facial recognition along with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. In terms of optics, the smartphone line may have updated periscopic telephoto lenses. The phone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (commonly known as Snapdragon 8 Gen 4) chipset.
Honor Magic 7 Pro Specifications (Expected)
The Honor Magic 7 Pro is reported to feature a 6.82-inch dual-layer 2K OLED screen with quad-curved edges, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Kunlun Glass protection. It is said to support Honor 3.0 eye protection technology and 8T LTPO. The Snapdragon chipset is expected to support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 built-in storage.
In terms of optics, the rumored phone will feature a triple primary camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50H main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor with either a periscope telephoto lens or a 200-megapixel sensor.
