iOS 18.0.1 Update for iPhone: What’s New

According to Apple’s release notes, the iOS 18.0.1 update comes with build number 22A3370 for the entire iPhone lineup. It can be received by models compatible with iOS 18. One of the most notable additions in the update is a fix for the iPhone 16 series touchscreen freeze. Since launch, users of the iPhone 16 Standard and Pro models have reported issues with the touchscreen even without the protective film. Apple’s latest update claims to fix this.

Additionally, another issue that has come to light in recent weeks is the camera viewfinder freezing when the new macro mode is enabled. The iOS 18.0.1 update is said to fix this issue as well.

Apple says its update fixes an issue that caused the Messages app to close unexpectedly when replying to chats with a shared Apple Watch watch face. It also aims to improve performance by addressing memory allocation issues on some iPhone models. Gadgets 360 staff was able to check for the update on the iPhone.

Along with iOS 18.0.1, Apple also released iPadOS 18 and macOS 15 Sequoia updates for iPad and Mac respectively. These are the first updates for the new operating system (OS), which the iPhone maker unveiled at WWDC 2024 in June and released last month after the launch of the iPhone 16 series.
