The Samsung Galaxy A56 may soon be launched as the successor to the Galaxy A55 that was launched in India in March. The alleged smartphone was previously spotted on benchmarking and certification sites, which offered details of the phone’s chipset, OS and RAM. Now a new report has surfaced online that hints at the Galaxy A56’s camera hardware. It is noteworthy that the Galaxy A55 was released together with the Galaxy A35. The next Galaxy A36 has also been rumored.

According to a report by GalaxyClub, the Samsung Galaxy A56 is likely to feature a triple primary camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro shooter.
While the Galaxy A55 has a 32-megapixel front camera, the report claims that the Galaxy A56 will get a 12-megapixel sensor with a lower resolution. However, it is expected to be a better sensor than the one on the existing phone. If true, this could be the first front-facing camera update since the Samsung Galaxy A51 in 2020.

The Samsung Galaxy A56 was earlier spotted with the model number SM-A566B/DS in the IMEI database, suggesting an imminent India release. A previous Geekbench listing revealed that the phone is likely to be powered by an Exynos 1580 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. It is expected to ship with One UI 7.0 based on Android 15.
According to a report by GalaxyClub, the Samsung Galaxy A56 could be priced between €450 (Rs. 40,900 approx) and €500 (Rs. 45,500 approx). It could be launched in the spring of 2025, which is around March and April. According to the report, the phone can support six major Android updates and six years of security updates.
