The Honor 200 series is getting a new update that finally brings the Circle to Search feature to India. The RM3 version is an over-the-air (OTA) update for the Honor 200 5G and Honor 200 Pro 5G smartphones. Along with the new artificial intelligence (AI) feature, it also adds Google’s October 2024 security patch and also improves performance. Notably, the Circle to Search feature was first announced for the series earlier this month, but it hasn’t rolled out in India yet.

Honor 200 series gets Circle to Search in India

Google Circle to Search was first introduced in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. Later, it was also added to the Pixel 8 series. Although it was extended to more Samsung and Pixel devices, the feature was not extended to other manufacturers’ smartphones. The Mountain View-based tech giant recently announced that the visual search feature will also be coming to more smartphones across the Android ecosystem.

The new RM3 update for the Honor 200 series also improves performance and security. Google’s October 2024 security patch is added to protect smartphones from cyber security threats. Users can also record system sound while recording screen. Additionally, there are three screen recording resolutions: 480p, 720p, and 1080p that users can choose from.

Finally, the Circle to Search visual search tool is also added. This feature allows users to quickly run a web search for any visual element visible on the screen. This feature can also select and copy text from images and translate text into different languages.

According to the company, the new update of the Honor 200 RM3 series will be available to all users by October 31. To download and install the update, users will have to go to Settings and go to System and updates version. There, users will need to click software updates. A new update should appear when users click Check for updates. Once downloaded, users can install it.
