However, according to the report, some Android users have noticed a similar notification on non-Pixel devices. As soon as the user clicks on the notification, a full-screen interface opens highlighting newly released Android features. Users can reportedly flip through multiple screens in a carousel style, viewing one feature at a time.
According to the screenshots shared in the post, each interface came with an image highlighting a visual cue for using the feature, as well as a textual description of the feature. A separate “How to get started” section has reportedly been added where users can learn exactly how to use the feature. At the bottom of the screen, Google also shared information about the availability of this feature.
New features introduced in the notification reportedly include QR code and Circle to Search translation functionality, short videos in Google Lens, expansion of Magic Editor features for non-Pixel devices in Google Photos, and a QR code skipping feature and barcode in Google Wallet.
In addition, the full-screen effects in Google Messages and the green shield icon indicating safe browsing mode have also been highlighted in the Android notification.
