CMF Phone 1 with MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, Removable Back Cover Launched in India: Price, Specs

The CMF Phone 1, the first smartphone from the Nothing sub-brand, was finally launched in India on Monday (July 8). The latest offering from CMF by Nothing comes with a removable back cover and a unique design that allows users to attach branded accessories such as laces. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G SoC. The CMF Phone 1 features an AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz and a dual 50MP rear camera. It is IP52 rated and backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for wired and reverse charging.

CMF Phone 1 price in India, availability

The CMF Phone 1 price in India starts at Rs. 15,999 for the base model of 6GB + 128GB of RAM and storage. The phone is also available in 8GB + 128GB variant priced at Rs. 17,999.

It is available in Black, Blue, Light Green and Orange colors and will go on sale via Flipkart on July 12 at 12:00 PM EST, as well as CMF India’s website and retail partners.

As part of the introductory offer, the CMF Phone 1 can be purchased for Rs. 14,999 for the base variant and Rs. 16,999 for the top model with bank special offers. The phone comes with various accessories including a case priced at Rs. 1,499 and the stand is priced at Rs. 799. It can be supplied complete with a lanyard for Rs. 799 and a card case for Rs. 799.

Limited units of the CMF Phone 1 will be available for sale on July 9 at Lulu Mall in Bengaluru from 7:00 PM EST. The first 100 customers to purchase the phone will receive CMF Buds for free.

The CMF Phone 1 Dual SIM (Nano) runs Nothing OS 2.6 based on Android 14 and is confirmed to receive two years of major Android updates and three years of security patches. It features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) AMOLED LTPS display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a pixel density of 395 ppi, a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz, and a maximum brightness of 2000 nits.

It runs on an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM. Using the RAM Booster function, the available memory on the CMF Phone 1 can practically be “expanded” up to 16 GB.

On the optics front, the CMF Phone 1 packs a 50-megapixel primary camera with an unspecified Sony sensor, along with support for Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and a portrait sensor with 2x zoom. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is installed on the front panel of the smartphone.

The CMF Phone 1 offers up to 256 GB of built-in storage, which supports expansion up to 2 TB. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and a USB Type-C port. It has an optical in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication. It has an IP52 dust and splash rating.

The company has equipped its first smartphone with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and 5W reversible wired charging. The phone is claimed to provide up to two days of battery life on a single charge. According to the company, it can be charged up to 50 percent within 20 minutes. It measures 164x8x77mm and weighs 197g. The vegan leather variant is 9mm thick and weighs 202 grams.

CMF Phone 1 supports interchangeable covers with different colors, materials and finishes. Users can change the back cover and add matching accessories to create a personalized look. The blue and orange back panels have a layer of vegan leather that adds a bit of weight to the phone.
