CMF Phone 1 specs, RRP in India: Said to get MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, IP52 rating

The CMF Phone 1 has indeed turned out to be a very interesting device, and Nothing themselves have started to officially reveal more details about the smartphone, building up the hype for its official unveiling on July 8th. While we’ve seen some renders of the device leaked in the past, hinting at its interchangeable backs and more, there’s a lot more at stake here, given that the phone also appears to have a hand-rotating wheel/dial at an angle, as well interchangeable adjustable back panels. While much of this will remain a mystery until the official launch, a new leak has now surfaced regarding the phone’s specifications and price in India.

A tipster, Yogesh Brar, took to X (formerly Twitter) and published two posts that leaked not only the device’s core specifications, but also an important detail related to its design. The speaker also revealed the Phone 1 price tags for India which are said to be Rs. 15,999 and 17,999 after discounts for the two variants available. Simply put, we expect the CMF Phone 1 to be priced between Rs. 20,000 and above, which will still be an interesting price considering its rather interesting design. The phone is also expected to have a basic IP52 certification for dust and water resistance.

As far as specifications are concerned, the smartphone is said to be available with MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC in two RAM and storage variants. The base model is expected to have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the second variant may get 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone is expected to support memory expansion up to 2TB via microSD.

The CMF Phone 1 will reportedly feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with an adaptive 120Hz screen refresh rate and a typical brightness of 800 nits. The phone is expected to have an in-display fingerprint scanner and run Android 14 out of the box. The whistleblower even shared the company’s software commitment, which includes 2 years of software and 3 years of security updates.

According to the source, the phone will have a 50-megapixel primary camera, which will be accompanied by a depth sensor. The main camera is said to not offer OIS (only EIS), but will offer 4K video recording at 30fps. For selfies, the CMF Phone is said to sport a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Nothing’s CMF Phone 1 is expected to have a 5,000mAh battery and 33W fast wired charging.

The CMF Phone 1 will be launched on July 8, 2024, alongside the new CMF Buds Pro 2 and Watch Pro 2.
