Asus ROG Ally X price, key specs announced ahead of June 2 launch

The Asus ROG Ally X has been confirmed to launch on June 2. The upcoming handheld gaming console will reportedly feature significant upgrades over the previous Asus ROG Ally model that was unveiled last year. It is said that the new PDA will have a much larger battery. Now the key characteristics of the Asus ROG Ally X, including the display, processor and memory, have appeared online. The price of the alleged gaming console has also been teased.

User X Arsene Lupin (@MysteryLupin) shared access some details of the upcoming Asus ROG Ally X in the post. The gaming console is expected to be available in black color and is likely to be priced at $799 (roughly Rs. 66,700). It is said to feature a 7-inch Full HD 1080p display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The console can run on the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chipset in combination with 1 TB of SSD memory.

A recent report suggests that the Asus ROG Ally X is expected to get more than 16GB of RAM. The upcoming console is also expected to be backed by a much larger battery which is claimed to offer up to three hours of battery life. The Asus ROG Ally is equipped with a 40Wh battery with 65W charging support. We’ll likely learn more about the upcoming console closer to launch.

The first generation Asus ROG Ally is powered by the AMD Z1 Extreme chipset and debuted in India in July 2023 at a price of Rs. 69,990. Offered in white. The console is equipped with a 7-inch IPS LCD screen with a Full HD resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a peak brightness of up to 500 nits, along with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and Gorilla Glass DX.

It is equipped with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of NVMe memory. The PDA comes with Windows 11 and supports Wi-Fi 6E, USB Type-C and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. The Asus ROG Ally also features an AI-enabled microphone and Dolby Atmos-enabled stereo speakers. It weighs 680 g and measures 280 x 111 x 21.2 mm.
