Samsung teased its Galaxy Ring earlier this year at MWC. It is expected to be unveiled at the next Galaxy Unpacked event alongside the latest Galaxy Z foldable smartphones. We’ve already seen multiple rumors about the smart ring’s capabilities, ring size, and potential price. Now, a tipster has revealed the design of the Galaxy Ring’s charging case. The upcoming wearable appears to have a carrying case like the Galaxy headphones and a light indicator to show charging status.
Here’s how the Galaxy Ring can be charged
Tipster Ice Universe has shared an image of the supposed charging case for the Galaxy Ring on Weibo. The box suggests a classy design reminiscent of jewelry boxes with straight edges and a glossy finish. It’s vaguely similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Buds charging cases. A raised circular section inside the charging case could hold the wearable in place. This stand can be seen to contain a charging pin and an indicator that could show the charging status. The render shows the case in white, but Samsung is expected to make it available in more shades. It is also expected to support wireless charging.

The Galaxy Ring was first teased in January, and the company later unveiled the device at MWC in February. It could be launched alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 at the next Galaxy Unpacked event expected on July 10. Samsung will sell the Galaxy Ring in the US in or around August.

The Galaxy Ring will run on Samsung’s Health platform. It is confirmed that it will be available in three color options. It is expected to offer heart rate monitoring and SpO2 (blood oxygen) monitoring. It is said to be available in sizes 5 to 12. There could be a 17mAh battery in size 5, 6 and 7 variants, an 18.5mAh battery in sizes 8, 9, 10 and 11, and the size 12 is said to have 22.5mAh battery.
