Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim may borrow the 200-megapixel camera from the “Ultra” model

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim could be an all-new device rumored to join the company’s flagship smartphone lineup next year. According to the information source, the alleged smartphone borrows a function from Samsung’s top-of-the-line model “Ultra”. As the name suggests, it is expected to be a slimmer model compared to the rest of the variants and could be released in limited quantities, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition that debuted in South Korea last month.

Samsung Galaxy S25 slim camera details leaked

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), tipster Ice Universe suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim will feature an “Ultra” camera. This is likely to be the case with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which features four primary cameras, including a 200-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to borrow the main 200-megapixel shooter from the Ultra model, just like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition. However, another whistleblower who goes by @Jukanlosreve suggests that there are currently no confirmed Galaxy S25 Slim specs, contradicting previous claims.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim launch schedule (expected)

Previous reports suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim may join the Galaxy S25 lineup, but not at launch. It is expected to launch in the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, a few months after the series’ debut. The phone could join the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra in the company’s flagship lineup.

Although the specifications remain unknown, it is reported to be the mainstay of Samsung’s lineup. The alleged phone may come with toned down features compared to other variants like the Fan Edition models. Outwardly, these devices are similar to more expensive flagship models, but they are inferior to them in terms of technical characteristics and have a lower price.
