Google Pixel 10, Pixel 11 to offer improved camera and video features thanks to upcoming Tensor chips: report

The Google Pixel 10 is expected to arrive next year as the company’s flagship smartphone powered by the next-generation Tensor G5 chipset, and details of the processor have recently surfaced online along with details of its successor. Now, the publication has shared details of the new photo and video capabilities that are likely to appear on the rumored Pixel 10 and Pixel 11 series smartphones, as well as new features powered by generative artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, a video editing tool that currently requires cloud processing may be available as an on-device feature on the Pixel 11.

Citing documents from Google’s G-Chips division, a report by Android Authority claims that the successor to the Pixel 9 will be powered by the Tensor G5 chipset, which will support 4K/60fps HDR video recording, a feature available on most flagship phones. This is an upgrade over the current Pixel phones, which only support 4K/30fps recording.

Improvements to Google’s machine learning technology will also bring support for 100x hybrid zooming when shooting images and videos on the Pixel 11, which is expected to arrive in 2026 with the Tensor G6 chip, according to the publication, which also spotted a reference to “the next “. -gen” telephoto camera.

The report also states that Google’s next mobile chipset will be able to run Stable Diffusion-based models on the phone, which could result in faster image generation compared to existing Pixel phones.
