Indian smart wearables brand Noise announced a slew of new features for its Luna Ring on Tuesday (May 21). The Luna Ring is the company’s first wearable smart ring that launched in July 2023 and features skin temperature sensors, a 3-axis accelerometer, and infrared photoplethysmography (PPG) sensors to perform health monitoring functions. With its latest update, the Noise Luna Ring gets even more features powered by an artificial intelligence (AI) wellness trainer called Luna AI.
Features of Noise Luna Ring AI
Noise says the new AI-powered features make the Luna Ring “a personalized health companion for all time.” With the update, the Luna Ring can now be used to track fitness metrics with helpful AI-driven insights. The company claims the Luna Ring provides customized suggestions by learning your sleep habits, health goals, activity levels and sleep patterns. The AI features are trained on algorithms and anonymized data from 20 million users, and also include insights from wellness experts, the company claims. The three main features of the update include:
1. Ask anything – With this feature, users can get personalized recommendations based on fitness data as well as answers to their queries from Luna AI, an AI-powered wellness coach.
2. Insight into the body – Provides deeper insight into the body’s rhythms and signals, allowing the user to optimize their health while receiving personalized suggestions.
3. Personal trainer and nutritionist – Luna AI adjusts training routines based on fitness goals. It also provides dietary recommendations using biomarkers.
Announcing the AI-powered wellness coach and other updates, Amit Khatri, co-founder of Noise said, “We’re excited to bring the first AI integration of smart rings globally. Smart rings have recently been introduced as the latest form factors, and the role of artificial intelligence has proven to be a game changer in unlocking their full potential.”
Noise says AI-driven insights and other features are currently being rolled out in beta, meaning they could be available to all users over the next few weeks. Luna ring price is Rs. 21,999 and is available in seven sizes. It can be purchased on the brand’s website.
