The additions to the catalog of PlayStation Plus games for October have become known. Leading the PS Plus line-up this month is zombie action adventure Dead Island 2. The game immerses players in an undead-infested Los Angeles with a colorful cast of pop stars, rock stars and actors living the Hollywood life in the midst of a deadly outbreak. Other games to be added to the PS Plus games catalog this month include university management simulator Two Point Campus, interactive survival horror The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, adventure platformer Gris, adventure game Return to Monkey Island and more. The games will be available for PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium subscribers from October 15.
In addition to games from the games catalog, Sony also announced October games for PS VR2 and offers from the Classics catalog for PS Plus Premium subscribers on Wednesday. Announced late last month, October’s monthly PS Plus games are available for all members to download and play. These include WWE 2K24, Dead Space and Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!

Dead Island 2 topped the game catalog offering this month. The action role-playing game from Dambuster Studios, released last year, challenges players to kill as many zombies as possible and escape from Los Angeles, or Hell as it is called in the game. You crash into the city of dreams, and it quickly turns into a city of nightmares after a zombie virus sends the clueless residents of Los Angeles into undead madness. Players must craft and upgrade all manner of melee weapons, from baseball bats to samurai swords, to cut through the horde and find their way out of Hollywood. Dead Island 2 also has guns, but punching zombies in the face is just more fun. The game will be available on both PS4 and PS5.

A sequel to Two Point Hospital, where you manage the complex inner workings of a hospital, Two Point Campus takes the action to a university campus. In this business simulator, you build brick by brick and manage the campus, expand its capabilities and ensure that it is the perfect place for students. You can create different departments, organize events, hold sports competitions, hire staff and ensure the smooth functioning of the university. If you’re into management simulations and miss your college days, this game might be perfect for you. Two Point Campus is available on both PS4 and PS5.

It’s October and we’re in the middle of spooky season, sneaking up on Halloween. This month already saw the release of several remakes of horror games – Silent Hill 2 and Until Dawn. And if you want something similar, then The Devil in Me is coming soon to the PS Plus catalog of games. Part of The Dark Pictures Anthology, an interactive survival horror game, it is the fourth and final game in the first season of the series. The Devil Within Me features five playable characters who are members of a documentary film crew filming an episode of their TV series. Invited to a remote island for filming, they soon realize that the place is littered with deadly traps. Like other interactive games from Supermassive Games, The Devil in Me has a sprawling storyline with multiple possibilities and endings. The player’s choices ultimately decide the characters’ fates. The game is coming to PS Plus for both PS4 and PS5.

Return to Monkey Island by Devolver Digital is a vintage 2D adventure where players explore different locations, solve challenging puzzles and uncover the secrets of the islands. You play as the pirate Guybrush Thripwood, exploring a series of fictional islands in the Caribbean. The game features a vibrant cast of NPCs, plenty of clues to uncover the mystery of the titular island, and an intuitive interface to work with your items. The game will be available on PS5.

PS Plus Classics catalog, games for PS VR2
For PS Plus Deluxe/Premium members The Last Clockwinder is the only PS VR2 game this month. On the other hand, the Classics catalog adds Dino Crisis (PS4, PS5), Siren (PS4, PS5) and R-Type Dimensions EX (PS4). All PS Plus Game Catalog, Classics Catalog and PS VR2 games will be playable from October 15.
