The Poco F6 5G was launched in India on Thursday (May 23). The latest phone in the Poco F series comes with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor system. It is the first phone in India to be powered by a 4nm octa-core chipset. The smartphone boasts a 1.5K OLED display and a 50-megapixel dual rear camera. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging. The design and internals of the Poco F6 5G are identical to the China-exclusive Redmi Turbo 3.
Poco F6 5G price in India, availability
Poco F6 5G price starts at Rs. 29,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. The 12GB RAM + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB versions are priced at Rs. 31,999 and 33,999 respectively. It is available in Black and Titanium colors and will go on sale via Flipkart from May 29.
With banking offers and exchange discounts, customers can get the Poco F6 5G at a starting price of Rs. 25,999. The 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB RAM and storage variants are available for Rs. 27,999 and Rs.29,999 respectively.
Features of Poco F6 5G
The Dual SIM (Nano) Poco F6 5G runs HyperOS based on Android 14. Poco promises three major Android updates and four years of security patches for the phone. It has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K (1220×2712 pixels) with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a pixel density of 446 ppi. The display supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision and Widevine L1. It is advertised to deliver a maximum brightness of 2,400 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It runs on an octa-core 4nm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with up to 12GB of LPPDDR5x RAM.
You get a dual rear camera setup on the Poco F6 5G led by a 50MP 1/1.9-inch Sony IMX882 sensor with support for Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and f/1.59 aperture. The camera package also includes an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies and video chats, there is a 20-megapixel front camera OV20B. The new phone includes Poco Iceloop cooling technology for temperature management.
Poco F6 5G supports up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 memory. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS/AGPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou and a USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, an electronic compass, a gyroscope, an IR blaster, and a proximity sensor.
The Poco F6 5G comes with dual hybrid stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res certification. It has IP64 dust and splash protection. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication and also supports face unlock.
Poco has equipped the Poco F6 5G with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging. The brand’s delivery set includes a 120 W adapter. It measures 160×74.4×7.8 mm and weighs 179 grams.
The specifications and design of the Poco F6 5G suggest that it is a rebranded Redmi Turbo 3 for international markets. The latter was launched in China last month at a starting price of CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 23,000).
