The Vivo X200 series will launch in China with MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9400 processor system, Vivo announced on Wednesday after some initial speculation. The announcement came shortly after the official presentation of MediaTek’s new flagship mobile chipset. The Dimensity 9400 is built on a 3nm process and is claimed to be 40 percent more energy efficient than its predecessor. It consists of a single Arm Cortex-X925 core clocked at 3.62 GHz. Apart from Vivo, Oppo has also revealed that its upcoming flagship phone will be powered by the Dimensity 9400 SoC.

The Chinese smartphone brand has confirmed via its official Weibo handle the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset on the upcoming Vivo X200 series. The lineup, which includes the base models Vivo X200, Vivo X200 Pro and Vivo X200 Pro Mini, will be launched in China on October 14 at 7:00 PM (4:30 PM IST).
Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro will be available in four colors — Midnight Black, Moonlight White, Sapphire Blue and Titanium. Official renders show the Vivo X200 Pro Mini in Black, Pink, Green, and White colors, but the official trim names have not been revealed yet.
The Vivo X200 series is said to be the first set of smartphones to use the Dimensity 9400 chipset. The SoC is built on TSMC’s 3nm process and has built-in AI features, as well as a new ISP and NPU. It has a Cortex-X925 clocked at 3.63GHz, followed by three Cortex-X4 modules with a maximum frequency of 3.3GHz. It includes four efficient Cortex-A720 units at 2.4 GHz.
MediaTek claims the new chipset will deliver 35 percent greater single-core performance and 28 percent greater multi-core performance compared to the MediaTek Dimensity 9300.
