The company has revealed some key features and color options of the Indian version of the phone. Notably, the phone will offer six OS updates and six years of security updates, which is unheard of in this price segment. The phone has a Key Island design element that houses the power button and volume rocker on the right edge.

Samsung has confirmed in a press release that the Galaxy A16 5G will be launched in India soon. The company is yet to announce a launch date, but it has been confirmed that the Indian variant will be available in three colors — Blue Black, Gold and Light Green.
Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is called a mid-range offer. Notably, the 4GB + 128GB variant of the phone is priced at €249 (roughly Rs. 23,000) in some markets.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is confirmed to receive six OS updates and six years of security updates in India, similar to the global variant. The design and key features of the model are also similar to the global variant. The phone will be launched in India with IP54 rated construction for dust and splash protection and will feature Key Island feature.
The official press release added that the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G in India will come with a MediaTek chipset (probably Dimensity 6300), Knox Security features, and will have a Super AMOLED screen, along with a triple rear camera with an ultra-wide lens. .
Globally, the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is powered by the Exynos 1330 SoC chipset. The phone has a 6.5-inch 90Hz Full HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) Super AMOLED display and comes with One UI 6.1 based on Android 14.
In terms of cameras, the global variant of the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G has a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor, a 5-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. Meanwhile, the front camera has a 13-megapixel sensor. The smartphone is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery with support for 25 W wired fast charging. It supports dual 5G connectivity, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi and USB Type-C.
