Oppo Find X8 and Oppo Find X8 Pro may soon make their way to India. While several details and images of the phones have surfaced over the past few months, live images of the Oppo Find X8 have leaked online. Apart from these images, the Find X8 has also appeared on some certification websites, hinting at an imminent launch in some countries. The Oppo Find X8 series is set to hit the domestic market later this month.
A post on Weibo (via GSMArena ) has revealed what is said to be a photo of the upcoming Oppo Find X8. The phone looks different in terms of design, with a more streamlined approach compared to last year’s Find X7. This seems to confirm details seen in a previous leak (which now appears to have been mislabeled as the Oppo Find X8 by the source). While the tipster doesn’t reveal any new details about the phone alongside the image, the device looks different, with what appears to be an Apple-inspired design.

The device in the live image (which the source says is the Find X8) has flat sides with a matte bezel in a matching color. The back panel is perfectly flat, with a round camera module at the top of the phone. The camera island has the Hasselblad branding with the “H” logo, surrounded by three cameras located on top and on each side.
It appears to be quite different from the previously leaked live image which was tagged as the Oppo Find X8. The phone has been shown to have a similar overall design, but with a square-shaped rear camera module. A recently leaked image also suggested a similar design, highlighting a new iPhone-like camera button. The Oppo Find X8 series also supports magnetic wireless charging, but it’s unclear whether they will follow Qi 2 (magnetic) standards or Oppo’s proprietary (and faster) AirVOOC Air charging speed.
According to a report by GizmoChina, Oppo’s Find X8 has also appeared on India’s BIS certification website, hinting that it could be launched soon. The phone has also been spotted on Indonesia’s SDPPI database, indicating a launch in India and Indonesia soon after the launch in China.
The Oppo Find X8 Pro was recently listed on the BIS India certification website with the model number CPH2659. The Oppo Find X8 is reported to have a model number of CPH2651. This also means that both of Oppo’s flagship devices in the Find X8 series could make their way to India after the China launch. Oppo is expected to announce three camera-centric flagship devices this year. Unlike last year, this lineup is expected to include the Find X8, Find X8 Pro, and the top-of-the-line Find X8 Ultra. Or, Oppo could launch a successor to last year’s Find X7 Ultra called the Find X8 Pro.
