The Oppo Reno 12 series is set to be officially unveiled on May 23, and the Chinese tech brand has been teasing its design via Weibo. Just a week before the official presentation, renderings of the Oppo Reno 12 line leaked online. They show Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro from different angles in three different colors. Both phones share an identical design with punch-hole displays and triple primary cameras.
Tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) shared alleged renders of Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro on X (formerly Twitter). The phones are presented in three color variants on the renders. The standard model has black, pink and silver colors. The Pro model is presented in black, pink and purple shades.
The Oppo Reno 12 seems to have a gradient pink shade, while the Reno 12 Pro seems to have a matte pink color. Although there is a slight difference in finish, they look almost identical. The phones come with punch-hole displays, slightly curved corners, narrow bezels and triple rear camera units. The large rectangular camera module includes the engraved text “AI Camera System”.
Earlier this week, Oppo announced the launch of the Reno 12 series in China on May 23 at 4:00 PM local time (1:30 PM IST). According to previous leaks, the phones will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom. They are rumored to have a 50-megapixel selfie shooter.
The MediaTek Dimensity 8250 processor may power the Oppo Reno 12. The Oppo Reno 12 Pro variant is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset. The Pro model is expected to sport a 6.7-inch 120Hz 1.5K display and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging.
