The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 has long been speculated to be the successor to the Mix Fold 3, which was launched in China in August 2023. The book-style folding phone is expected to be launched alongside the company’s first flip phone, the Xiaomi Mix Flip. After weeks of unofficial leaks and reports, it is now confirmed that the phones will hit the markets soon. Both the foldable smartphones will be launched later this month, a senior company executive announced.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, Mix Flip edition
Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Xiaomi Mix Flip will be launched later this month, the company announced in a post on Weibo, suggesting a launch in China. Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun (@leijun) also shared an English version of the promotional poster for the X, suggesting an imminent global launch. It is noteworthy that previous Xiaomi foldable phones were not produced outside of China.

The company executive said that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip will be manufactured at Xiaomi’s “new generation” Smart Factory in Changping, Beijing, with an area of 81,000 square meters. June did not reveal any other details about future launches.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, Mix Flip Features (Expected)
It was previously reported that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. It could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and feature a 50-megapixel Leica Summilux primary camera sensor. The phone is also expected to have IPX8 water resistance. The phone may have a 5,000 mAh battery with support for wireless charging.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mix Flip is also likely to get a similar chipset to the Mix Fold 4. It is expected to feature a 1.5K display and a 4,900mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging. In terms of optics, the clamshell is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup, which is expected to include a 50-megapixel OV50E primary sensor and a 60-megapixel OV60A secondary sensor with 2x optical zoom. The phone’s front-facing camera is likely to have a 32-megapixel sensor.
