The CMF Phone 1 has been confirmed to launch in India on July 8 alongside the CMF Buds Pro 2 and CMF Watch Pro 2. The company has been teasing design elements and specifications of the upcoming smartphone for the past few days. Earlier, the phone was teased to get a removable back panel. Now, it has revealed the design of the rear camera module and confirmed the details of the main camera. Notably, the phone is the first from CMF.
CMF Phone 1 camera design, sensor details
According to X’s official post, the CMF Phone 1 will feature a dual rear camera setup. The teaser shows the module housed in a vertical pill-shaped module in the upper left corner of the panel. Two sensors in separate round blocks are located vertically inside the module.

This rear camera module in the CMF Phone 1 is raised and has a different color compared to the rest of the panel.
Notably, a previous teaser suggested that the phone might feature a removable back panel. It is not yet clear if this will only be for superficial design purposes or will help in terms of serviceability with access to the battery and other internals.
The aforementioned post also mentions that the CMF Phone 1 will feature a 50-megapixel Sony sensor paired with an f/1.8 lens. Ultra XDR support has also been confirmed.
Features of CMF Phone 1
Previous official posts on social media confirmed that the CMF Phone 1 will have an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 5,000mAh battery that is claimed to offer up to two days of battery life or support up to 22 hours of continuous YouTube streaming.
The CMF phone is also confirmed to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G SoC paired with 8GB of RAM, which can practically be expanded by an additional 8GB. It is also configured with a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, HDR10+ support and a maximum brightness of 2000 nits.
The phone was previously reported to launch with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and IP52-rated construction. It is likely to cost less than Rs. 20,000 in India. It will be available for purchase in the country through Flipkart.
