Oppo Reno 12 series 5G launch in India scheduled for July 12; RAM, storage options leaked

Oppo Reno 12 5G series may launch in India next week. The date has yet to be officially confirmed by the Chinese tech brand, but a new report has revealed the launch date as well as the RAM and storage configurations of the Oppo Reno 12 5G and Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G. The new Reno phones with MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy processors recently debuted globally. They include a triple main camera, a 50-megapixel front-facing camera and 5,000 mAh batteries.

India launch date of Oppo Reno 12 5G series

A Techoutlook report claims that the Oppo Reno 12 5G series will launch in India on July 12. The Oppo Reno 12 5G will reportedly be available in an 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, while the Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G may be offered in a 12GB variant. RAM + 256 GB and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB memory.

In global markets outside of China, the Vanilla model is offered in the 12GB + 256GB variant priced at €499.99 (roughly Rs. 44,700). On the other hand, the Pro model is available in a single 12GB RAM + 512GB variant for €599.99 (Rs. 53,700 approx).

The Oppo Reno 12 5G series is confirmed to debut in India soon. But Oppo has not yet revealed the exact date of their launch. Both Flipkart and Oppo India have created special landing pages on their websites to tease the launch of the new phones. The Indian variants of the models are confirmed to come with several Artificial Intelligence (AI) features including AI Record Summary, AI Clear Voice and AI Writer.

Characteristics of the Oppo Reno 12 series

The Chinese variants of Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Star Speed ​​Edition SoC and Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed ​​Edition SoC respectively. Global versions are based on MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy processors. They are equipped with two 50-megapixel cameras and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Both have a 50-megapixel front-facing camera. They are equipped with 5000 mAh batteries with support for 80 W SuperVOOC fast charging.
