Realme will release future smartphone models with AI capabilities, says Realme VP Chase Xu

According to Chase Xu, Realme’s vice president and president of global marketing, Realme plans to equip its future smartphones with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. In a recent interview, the executive said that phones in different price segments will be equipped with different artificial intelligence features to improve the overall user experience. He also revealed that Realme is working on an ecosystem of Internet of Things (IoT) products to support its smartphones. These connected devices will also have built-in AI capabilities.

Speaking to 91Mobiles, Xu said that the adoption of AI in the smartphone industry is gaining momentum. Realme will also release every future smartphone, regardless of price segment, with some level of AI integration, the executive told the publication.

As part of this strategy, the company’s flagship GT-level series will receive the most advanced AI functions, while Realme’s number series will receive AI capabilities integrated into entertainment and photography functions, Xu was quoted as saying. The AI ​​features in the entry-level devices are said to be aimed at improving the overall efficiency of the smartphone.

Additionally, the report states that the Chinese smartphone brand is also planning to create an ecosystem of IoT devices, also known as connected devices, that can communicate with each other. These IoT devices will also reportedly have AI features. Realme is also investing in truly wireless stereo systems (TWS), tablets and other portable devices.

Realme’s first phone with “Next AI” features.

The Realme GT 6 was recently launched in India and featured several AI features including AI Night Vision Mode, AI Smart Removal (Review) and AI Smart Loop. These AI functions have been combined under the Next AI brand. However, the company did not share any details about the AI ​​model used for these features.

The Realme GT 6 features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ (1264×2780 pixels) 8T LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of built-in storage.

It also has a triple primary camera with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 main sensor with OIS support, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone is equipped with a 5500 mAh battery with 120 W charging support.
