Lenovo on Wednesday unveiled the sixth generation of its Neptune liquid cooling technology that will support artificial intelligence (AI) computing. The solution is focused on energy efficiency and uses recycled hot water circuits to cool data center systems and server components. It also highlighted its AI Center of Excellence solutions for enterprises and AI Innovator for India and claimed that it can help companies across a wide range of industries such as retail, hospitality, manufacturing, healthcare, finance and more.
Lenovo AI Solutions for Indian Enterprises
In a press release, the Chinese consumer technology brand unveiled the latest generation of its Neptune liquid cooling technology. It claims the solution can support AI companies running more than 100KW of server racks without the need for specialized data center air conditioning. The company says it can achieve 98 percent heat dissipation using its hot water loops.
The company said water cooling can provide sustained high performance for AI servers without reaching thermal limitations. The system was also claimed to be more environmentally friendly than a traditional air cooling system.
Additionally, Lenovo also highlighted its AI offerings for Indian enterprises. In a press release (via Analytics India Magazine), the company listed more than 165 AI-powered solutions for various sectors. Some of these include Smart Virtual Assistant for customer service operations, Smart Travel which is an automated solution to prevent bird collisions, Smart Manufacturing which is a video analytics tool for workplace safety and efficiency and more.
Furthermore, Lenovo also offers its expanded AI Center of Excellence that offers several services to companies to guide them through the AI implementation process. This includes consulting services, AI Fast Start for Nvidia NIMS and more. According to a press release, these AI solutions for Indian companies have been developed in collaboration with Nvidia.
