The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is expected to come in new colors, according to reports on social media. The smartphone is set to launch in China alongside the standard Motorola Razr 50 on June 25, the company confirmed in a Weibo post a few days ago. However, it is expected that its world premiere will take place in July. On the eve of the presentation, new colors of the smartphone appeared on social networks, as well as details about its waterproofing.
New color options for Motorola Razr 50 Ultra
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), tipster @MysteryLupin shared several images showing various color variants of the smartphone. According to the pictures, it can be offered in six colors. These include black, blue, beige, green, orange and peach fuzz (Pantone’s color of the year).
In another social media post, the same whistleblower shared a purportedly official video from the company promoting various aspects of the phone, including its water resistance. According to the claims, the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra could be IPX8 rated, meaning it can survive in water up to 1.5m deep for 30 minutes.
The same video also hints at several other color options for the smartphone, including pink and purple. However, it is not yet known whether all the colors belong to the same variant.
The video also touts the Razr 50 Ultra’s camera capabilities, mentioning the AI-powered camera system and telephoto zoom feature. Its design has also been teased, with the company allegedly calling it the smartphone with the “biggest, smartest display.”
Motorola Razr 50 Ultra price, specifications (expected)
It is noteworthy that the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra will enter the American market under the name Razr+ 2024. Its price and specifications have recently appeared online. The smartphone may be priced at €1,199 (roughly Rs. 1.07,300) for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration.
Meanwhile, some key specifications of the phone have also been reported. It may have a 6.9-inch OLED display and a 3.6-inch flip display. Under the hood, it can run on a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage.
In terms of optics, it is expected to have a dual-camera setup on the back that includes a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto sensor. On the front, it may have a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra may have a 4,000mAh battery with support for fast charging via USB Type-C.
