Full Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 specs including cameras, battery and more

Recently, a lot of new information about the folding Galaxy Z Fold 6 from Samsung has appeared. The foldable, book-style device is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris this year. Although the details of the event have not yet been officially released, there is now a new leak regarding the date of the event. Meanwhile, more details about the Galaxy Z Flip 6 have surfaced online, as well as a leaked test that hints at an all-new clamshell variant.

While the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 (and, to some extent, the Ultra/Slim) has been rumored recently, we’ve seen fewer details about the upcoming smaller foldable Galaxy Z Flip 6 in clamshell form.

According to a Geekbench listing, which is said to belong to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, a new variant with 12GB of RAM may be arriving. The listing showed the score obtained by the device and also provided more details about its processor and RAM. The results of the benchmark test show a maximum score (best of 3) of 2321 and 7233 in the single and multi-point Geekbench tests, which is a noticeable increase from the 1998 and 5176 points obtained during independent testing of the 8 GB RAM variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 5. variant.

This could also be due to Samsung’s custom variant of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the Galaxy, which offers a slight performance boost over the stock processor. In recent years, Samsung has always stuck to 8GB of RAM for all variants of its foldable clamshell device, so the 12GB RAM variant (as seen in the benchmarks) should theoretically improve multitasking performance.

Another leak from SmartPrix offered a ton of details about the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6. While a previous leak from the same source hinted at minimal design changes, this year is said to see a lot of updates under the hood.

According to the leak, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 has the same 6.7-inch internal display as the Galaxy Z Flip 5, with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2640 x 1080 pixels. The phone’s display also appears to be identical to last year’s model at 3.4 inches with a resolution of 720 x 748 pixels.

The bigger upgrade this year will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor for the Galaxy, which will deliver a maximum clock speed of 3.9GHz. The phone is expected to arrive with the same 256GB and 512GB storage options as last year.

The main camera on the back is said to get a 50-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, which will be an upgrade from the current 12-megapixel camera on the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The ultra-wide-angle camera appears to be the same as before, with a 12-megapixel sensor, and the same goes for the 10-megapixel front-facing camera, which reportedly lacks autofocus. The connectivity options also seem to be similar to the previous model.

In terms of dimensions, the new Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to measure 6.9mm when unfolded and 14.9mm when folded, which if true is similar to its predecessor. The phone is also said to weigh 187 grams, just like the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

However, the leaked images also suggest that this year’s Galaxy Z Flip 6 could get a larger 4,000mAh battery, which according to the usage mentioned in the sheet, can last up to 19 hours with mixed Wi-Fi and LTE usage. Charging speeds are said to be the same as before, but limited to 25W.

In other news, whistleblower Evan Blass has also confirmed that the Galaxy Unpacked launch even for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 is set to take place on July 10. Although the same date was previously leaked, Blass shared a countdown gif. launch event in a post that was later removed for copyright infringement. We expect Samsung to officially announce the next Galaxy Unpacked release dates soon.
