The Honor Magic V Flip was launched in China as Honor’s first foldable smartphone. As expected after numerous leaks and rumours, the foldable device sports a large 4-inch external display, almost the largest in the flip phone segment. It has a 6.8-inch internal screen and is powered by a slightly older Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The lens of the Honor Magic V Flip has a notch on the left side of the main screen for the camera. It packs a 4,800mAh battery with 66W charging support.

The Honor Magic V Flip is priced at RMB 4,999 (roughly Rs. 57,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The 12GB + 512GB model is priced at CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs. 64,000), while the 12GB + 1TB variant is priced at CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 70,000). It is available in Camellia White, Champagne Pink and Iris Black.
Honor is also selling the premium Magic V Flip Haute Couture Edition priced at CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs. 80,000) for the 16GB+1TB variant with customization options. It comes complete with gift boxes with personalized mini bags and a gold stamp of Zhou Yangji’s signature
All models are currently available for pre-order in China and will go on sale on June 21. The brand has not yet announced the availability of the new device outside of China.
Features of Honor Magic V Flip
Honor Magic V Flip Dual SIM (Nano) runs on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14. It has a 6.8-inch main internal LTPO OLED display Full HD+ (1080×2520 pixels) with 21:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz . adaptive refresh rate and peak brightness of 3000 nits. The Dolby Vision-certified display offers 3840Hz ultra-high-frequency PWM dimming. The 4-inch LTPO OLED screen (1200×1092 pixels) is a special feature of the new device, which supports more than 40 applications. The outer screen has a camera design in the lower left corner.
The Honor Magic V Flip is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor paired with 16GB of RAM — the same chipset powered by Samsung’s 2022 Galaxy Z Flip 4.
In terms of optics, the new device has a dual rear camera that includes a 50-megapixel main camera with an aperture of f/1.9 and support for optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle macro camera with an aperture of f/2.2. and autofocus. There is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX816 selfie camera for selfies and video chats.
Honor Magic V Flip is available in 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB memory variants. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, OTG and a USB Type-C port. It is equipped with two speakers and three microphones.
On-board sensors include an accelerometer, compass, gyro sensor, gravity sensor, and light sensor. The phone also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication.
Honor has provided a 4,800mAh battery for the Honor Magic V Flip that supports 66W fast charging. It is also reported that the battery can be charged from zero to 100 percent in just 42 minutes. The phone measures 167.3×75.6×7.15mm unfolded and 86.5×75.6×14.89mm unfolded. It weighs 193 grams.
