Motorola Razr 50 series, Motorola S50 Neo set for June 25; Technical characteristics are disclosed

The company has finally announced the launch schedule for the Motorola Razr 50 series. The next generation of foldable devices from the Lenovo-owned smartphone maker is expected to arrive as the Motorola Razr 50 and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, successors to the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra, respectively. They are confirmed to be launched alongside the Motorola S50 Neo. Lenovo China has published a list of new devices, revealing their design and key specifications.

The arrival of the Motorola Razr 50 series and the Motorola S50 Neo in China was announced on June 25 via a post on Weibo, the Chinese microblogging platform. The launch event will begin at 2:00 PM local time (11:30 AM IST). The foldable phones are expected to have several AI features, just like the latest flagships.

Characteristics of the Motorola S50 Neo

The Motorola Razr 50 and Motorola S50 Neo series are currently listed on Lenovo’s website in China. The list of the latter shows the design and specifications of the phone. It has a curved OLED display with a notch in the center for selfies.

According to the company’s website, the Motorola S50 Neo will be available in black, blue and green colors. A 50-megapixel primary camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS support is confirmed. A 5,000mAh battery and a slim 7.59mm profile are other highlights.

Motorola Razr 50 Series Specifications (Expected)

The Motorola Razr 50 was previously spotted on Geekbench with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset, 8GB of RAM, and Android 14. It is likely to pack a 4,200mAh battery and support 33W fast charging. It is tipped to sport a 6.9-inch 120Hz pOLED internal display, a 3.6-inch OLED screen, and dual rear cameras.

According to previous leaks, the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. It is said to have a 6.9-inch main OLED screen and a 2-inch lid screen. It may have a 50MP dual rear camera and a 4000mAh battery with 68W wired charging.
