Samsung Galaxy S24 FE spotted on Geekbench with Exynos 2400 chipset

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is expected to be launched later this year as the successor to last year’s Galaxy S23 FE. The upcoming Fan Edition smartphone is believed to come as a slimmed-down version of the Galaxy S24. The global variant of the Galaxy S24 FE has now appeared on Geekbench with the model number SM-S721B. The listing shows that it will be powered by an Exynos 2400 chipset, which could be paired with 8GB of RAM and Android 14 operating system.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Geekbench listing

The Samsung device has been spotted on the Geekbench website with the model number SM-S721B. The listing, believed to be the international variant of the Galaxy S24 FE variant, suggests that it could run Android 14 with 8GB of RAM. The June 13 listing shows that the phone scored 2,047 points in the single-core test and 6,289 points in the multi-core test.

A Geekbench listing of the alleged Galaxy S24 FE suggests that a 10-core chipset will power the phone alongside an s5e9945 motherboard. It shows the main CPU core with a maximum clock of 3.11 GHz, two cores with a clock of 2.90 GHz, three cores with a limit of 2.59 GHz and four cores with a limit of 1.96 GHz. These CPU speeds appear to be tied to Samsung’s own Exynos 2400 SoC, but the main core clock is slightly lower than the actual 3.2GHz speed.

Samsung is expected to follow a dual-chip strategy for the Galaxy S24 FE. It is likely to get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in select markets including the US. The version with the Exynos 2400 chipset could be intended for the European and Indian markets. According to previous leaks, the device will be launched in late 2024 or early next year as a low-cost alternative to the flagship Galaxy S24.

The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to feature a 6.1-inch AMOLED display and a 50-megapixel 1/1.57-inch ISOCELL GN3 sensor. It could have 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and will likely be offered in 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage options. The handset could get a 4,500 mAh battery.
