The Xiaomi 15 is expected to launch later this year as part of the anticipated Xiaomi 15 series of smartphones. These phones are expected to replace the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, which were first launched in China in October 2023 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and were the first phones released with Xiaomi’s HyperOS shell. The Xiaomi 15 lineup is likely to have significant upgrades over the current phones. The leaker has suggested a few key features that the base Xiaomi 15 may release, including chipset, display and camera specs among other details.

The Xiaomi 15 will be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, according to a post by Digital Chat Station on Weibo. The phone could be one of the first smartphones to be released with a next-generation flagship chipset. It is also expected to have a 1.5K (1440×2160 pixels) LTPO flat panel display.
On the optics front, the Xiaomi 15 packs a 50MP 1/1.3-inch primary rear sensor along with a 50MP sensor paired with an ultra-wide lens and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
The Xiaomi 15 will be equipped with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of built-in storage, according to the source. The insider added that the phone will also feature an under-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers and a responsive motor.
In the post, the author also noted that the Xiaomi 15 may be available in black and white. The phone can be offered in glass or vegan leather. The specifications of the battery or charging of the smartphone have not yet been disclosed.

Earlier it was reported that Xiaomi 15 is likely to be released in October this year. A few competing phones like the Oppo Find X8 and Vivo X200 were also launched around the same time. The phone is also expected to debut in India just like its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14.
